SPRING TERM 2025
Welcome to the After School Art Project, a creative haven for young artists aged 9 to 17! This inclusive space is designed to celebrate individuality and creativity. If you love making art or just want to try something new, you’re welcome here. Together, we’ll explore a variety of art styles and techniques in a fun, supportive environment. All you need is a willingness to get creative and some basic skills like using scissors and making your own artistic choices. Let’s make art, connections, and memories that inspire!
Ground Rules (Updated):
1. Respect Each Other: Treat everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of differences. This is a safe space for everyone.
2. Listen and Share: When someone is speaking or sharing their ideas, give them your attention. It’s all about learning from and inspiring each other!
3. Use Materials Safely: Follow instructions for using tools like scissors and other supplies responsibly.
4. Be Inclusive: Celebrate the diversity of ideas, styles, and identities. Everyone’s creativity is valued.
5. Stay Positive: Encourage yourself and others—there are no “wrong” ways to make art. Mistakes are part of the process.
6. Take Care of the Space: Keep shared materials tidy and clean up after yourself.
7. Be Independent: Participants should be able to follow instructions, make their own creative decisions, and work with minimal assistance.
8. Ask for Help: If you’re unsure about something or need extra support, it’s okay to ask. We’re here to help!
9. Have Fun: Relax, express yourself, and enjoy the process of creating art.
We’re here to create together, and part of that means listening, sharing, and being open to everyone’s ideas—it makes the space even more inspiring!
