Hello my name is Harry. I work as a tour manager within comedy/entertainment. Which is a very wonderful job which I love and feel tremendously grateful to do. So much so that I have chosen to document as much as I can via 35mm photography. My favourite thing during my childhood was skimming through family photo albums and imagining being there and seeing members of my family young and asking about the faces I didn’t recognise and hearing stories and watching my mother and aunt argue about what day it was taken. This left me a feeling of wanting to have as many photos of my job as possible to share with friends and family. I then got carried away and have over 5000 photos from across the world. I have worked all over the gaff with a range of comics, actors, producers, writers and some complete idiots. I love being a part of this industry, the old techs telling stories, the showbiz gossip and advice has textured my previous boring existence with friends all over the globe. This exhibition is an attempt to show a window into my job and world of travelling around with people I am pleased to call friends and to a certain extent family. It can be a weird lonely time sometimes but I wouldn’t change it. Mainly because if I wanted to see this much of the world and still get paid I’d have to join the military, I just don’t think I’d thrive there. Enjoy my pix.
