Join award-winning artist Josie Jones for an inspiring day of creative exploration through the expressive medium of gelli plate printmaking. Drawing on techniques developed through a professional artistic practice that includes exhibitions, artist residencies and years of workshop delivery, this intermediate workshop will guide you through a range of printmaking processes including layering, texture building, mark-making, stencilling and botanical-inspired techniques.
Throughout the day, you will create a portfolio of experimental prints before developing your own original meadowscape artwork inspired by wildflowers, grasses and natural forms. With a maximum of eight participants, this small-group workshop offers plenty of individual guidance, allowing you to develop your skills while creating artwork to be proud of and take home.
Leave with a collection of experimental prints, a completed meadowscape artwork, and the confidence to continue exploring gelli plate printmaking at home.
