£25 per person

If you came to our first sashiko workshop and went home wanting more – this is the next chapter. And if you missed it but you want to learn a fun new skill? You’re still very welcome.

The Stitchquel – Boro Sashiko Creative Patchwork takes everything you know about sashiko and turns it up. We’re going deeper into patterns, getting properly into boro – the ancient Japanese art of layered fabric repair – and combining both into a finished textile patch that’s yours to take home and apply to whatever you choose, whenever you’re ready!

What you’ll learn: More complex sashiko patterns beyond the basics. We’ll go into the history and philosophy of boro sashiko repair as beauty, imperfection as intention. How to layer and patch in boro style. How to combine boro and sashiko into a cohesive piece.

What you’ll leave with: A textile patch — hand stitched, completely personal & one of a kind, ready to apply to a garment, bag, or anything else you choose. New skills you can actually use at home. Probably a new obsession!

Everything is provided. Fabric, thread, needles, patterns — just bring yourself and your enthusiasm. If you have favourite threads or fabrics you’d love to work with, feel free to bring those too.

This workshop is for you if: You attended our first sashiko workshop and want to go further. You’re comfortable with hand sewing and want to explore Japanese textile traditions. You’re neurodivergent, creative, and tired of workshops that treat you like you can’t handle complexity. You want to learn something new, in a relaxed and welcoming space, with no pressure for perfectionism.
