Toby is an ink and digital focused illustrator based in Worcester. After graduating in Illustration BA from Plymouth University, Toby has mostly followed the arts as a personal hobby. Recently taking up residence in the Artery Studios to begin work on establishing himself as a freelance illustrator. The process will be long and arduous. Already many pens have been broken and ink pots ran dry (and that was just to set up the email.). 

Possessing a preference for ink and liquid based mediums, Toby often experiments with different media and scales. It is unsure if this is a result of chronic indecisiveness or a playful attempt to refine his style and ideas. One day it could be scrawling onto a giant scroll with no aim or goal, another could be painstakingly spent doing a technical drawing with a 0.03mm pen. His work often features subject matters of a fantasy or nautical persuasion. This is due to spending too many hours as a kid on old fantasy RPG games and forgoing tropical holidays for cold northern shorelines. His latest trip was to the Isle of Mann and since getting back, a worrying amount of birds have started featuring in his work. 

While currently not officially looking for work or commissions, Toby's always open to any interesting or fun art enquires.
