Fran Horne
Fran Horne is a mixed media Artist-Maker based in Worcestershire. She trained at Winchester School of Art and graduated in 1999.

She has professionally exhibited locally, nationally and internationally for the past 30 years. Her work is centred around her life experience of disability in the UK and the exploration of hidden worlds, with her work sharing space with artist Frida Khalo's and others in a national exhibition.

Working primarily in resin as a versatile medium, she also passionate about incorporating found objects for the inclusion of their own life history.

Fran has worked in Artist Books for over 30 years and was part of an exhibition in Central London, the Library of Unpublished Books and exhibitions such as "On The Next Level – Space Between" an exhibition (2006) at WWT's Slimbridge, that explored disability and equality of access for exhibiting artists. She continues to explore her own experiences, particularly in healthcare, through her books and mixed media sculpture.

She also works in partnership with artist Toft Laski. When working together they are known as House of Grimsy.

Fran lives in Malvern with her husband and daughter. She identifies as disabled and is also an ambulatory wheelchair user. She is passionate about disability advocacy.
