One day Signpainting course
10th December 9am-4pm | £60 per person
Come and learn about the wonderful craft that is Signpainting! In this one day course you will be learning about what Signpainting is and the tools, terms and methods that are used in the trade!
We will focus on brush technique and how to use a Mahl stick to help you achieve some straight line and crisp corners that Signpainting is well known for. Some lovely chiselled sable brushes will be supplied during the workshop to show you how the right tools really help!
Once we have practiced our brush strokes and got to grips with some techniques we will move onto putting our new skills to the test by painting on some pre-prepared pieces of wood and seeing as Christmas is just around the corner, if you’re feeling brave, we will get to paint some baubles for your tree back home!
This course is perfect for beginners or if you’re interested in Signpainting but don’t know where to start! No prior experience is necessary!
I have been making and painting signs for nearly 10 years and there’s always plenty to learn so let’s have some fun whilst I share my knowledge and passion with you!
This is a one day course that takes place at the stunning Artery Gallery workshop!
