Still life, from life in Oil paint for beginners. ‘Flowers in glass’. £180 for a two day course for up to 6 people – francesca currie
This course takes you through a step-by-step process on oil painting. I will begin with a short demonstration on what you will be doing that day and then will guide you through completing a painting. The class is structured to make oils an approachable subject. You will learn the basic palette, mediums, painting technique, how start a painting, and how to bring life to a still life. The course is designed for total beginners, and there is progression for those who wish to continue with the course.
This months will be Flowers in glass. The still life will be set up before the course, it is inspired but will not be the same as the image above. It will be dependent on the types of flowers available at the time. In the future I hope to run more courses, with different themes. For the ease of teaching several people at once, the still life will be the same for everyone.
The course is from 10-4 with two tea breaks and an hour for lunch. As the studio is close to town, you are welcome to bring your own lunch or pop out.
The Venue
This workshop will be hosted at the brand new Artery Studios. Just under the arches of Worcester. It is a 5 min walk from Forgate Street station.
